Hawaii metric signs
These photos were taken in June 2009 by Nat Hager III. The first two are on the “Big Island” driving from Kona, on the west coast, to Hilo, on the east coast, via the Hawaii Belt Road. The first photo was probably about 20-30 km east of Waimea, and the second on the coast about 50-80 km north of Hilo. Hager says, “these pictures were representative; I saw them everywhere on the Big Island.”
The next sign is on the north coast of Kauai, just east of Haena and Haena State Park near the road termination for Na Pali coast. “Again it’s representative; there were many signs like this on Kauai.”
